The WMC300FR is the second major project of many that White Motorcycle Concepts has delivered. This project delivered the V-Duct into a first responder motorcycle that is now operational within the UK Police. .
White Motorcycle Concepts (WMC) have completed substantial feasibility studies delivering the data required to more than prove its potential. The performance benefits these studies highlighted are between 15-25% efficiency improvement against the equivalent city motorcycle.
With range limitations and battery cost being the main concern of electric vehicle ownership, the WMC300FR addresses this major problem. The benefits for both speed and efficiency of energy use have serious potential to disrupt the market as we know it.
INNOVATE
The proof of concept project is being supported by Innovate UK through the Advanced Propulsion Centre, enabling the concept to be designed, tested, redesigned and tested again. The concept was created in collaboration with EY3 (core engineering), Total Sim (CFD) and Engenuity (FEA). This was then supported by the Niche Vehicle Network through their production readiness grant to convert the proof of concept into a road legal, sustainably manufactured Emergency Services vehicle (WMC300FR).
CREATE
The working demonstrator will show that the design addresses current aerodynamic inefficiency, vastly improving range and enhancing the potential for heat exchanger cooling. In addition, the new design will incorporate some parts manufactured from recycled plastic, will deliver improved safety performance through enhanced stability at steady state motion and even more importantly in the braking phase and reduce inner city particulate emissions generated from exhaust and brakes.
The pilot fleet was delivered into Northamptonshire Police in October 2022.

INVENT
The WMC300AE is the first publically available detachable battery hybrid. It was developed using our motorsport heritage to create a motorcycle to the highest specification.
The Aero-Electric Hybrid incorporates a bespoke venturi duct, which reduces drag by pushing air through the vehicle, rather than around it. Aerodynamic front fenders then force air towards the tunnel, reducing frontal resistance and ensuring less energy is used to propel the vehicle forward. The hybrid power assist, featuring a 5kW peak power electric motor unit, kicks in at lower speeds, improving acceleration and range as it reduces the petrol requirement and is bled out from 40mph where battery’s rapidly deplete. Here the efficiency benefit of the aerodynamics then becomes prominent at the higher speed range maximising fuel saving and increasing performance. The hybrid system utilises two 56V 12Ah rechargeable batteries from industry leaders EGO and these can be fast charged from a standard three-pin plug.

WMC’s new short-run production motorcycle harnesses all the research, efficiency and performance potential gathered from the pioneering British engineering company’s ground-breaking WMC250EV high-speed demonstrator land speed record bike, while also demonstrating the extreme range and carbon reduction credentials of its WMC300FR First Responder bike (already in service with the UK Police Force).
CREATE
No expense has been spared to make the Aero-Electric Hybrid riding experience as desirable as it is exclusive, with WMC adding a number of carefully chosen upgrades to enhance the motorcycle’s handling, road holding, acceleration, braking and overall ride experience. The powertrain has been enhanced with K&N air filters and a titanium/carbon fibre Akrapovic Slip-On Line (SS) exhaust. Handling is improved by the inclusion of Ohlins YA 241 shock absorbers and braking boosted by EBC Greenstuff brake pads (that use sustainable brake pad material), as well as Hel Performance braided brake lines. Maintaining sustainability throughout the duct and other aerodynamic features are constructed from aerospace grade recycled carbon fibre.
